LIQUID FUELS, BIOFUELS AND BIOPRODUCTS GROUP (LFBBG)
The Liquid Fuels, Biofuels, and Bioproducts Technology Team operating within the Department of Fuel Technology at AGH University of Science and Technology focuses primarily on research areas leading to the development of next-generation biofuels and biochemicals production technologies, in line with the concept of advanced biorefinery.
Currently, the group's activities primarily focus on the sustainable and efficient production of biocomponents for hydrocarbon fuels, as well as self-sustaining biofuels, along with comprehensive analysis of their composition, physicochemical properties, and usability. These components are sourced from waste, including fruit pomace from the food industry, waste from the paper and cellulose industry, production of first-generation biocomponents (e.g., lignin), or from gastronomic activities (coffee waste) and microalgae.
